How LuckyBox keeps its credit and items from being used to move money. A first draft, to be reviewed before LuckyBox opens to the public.

Credit and withdrawals

Credit can only be spent on LuckyBox. It cannot be withdrawn as money or sold. Items can be withdrawn as crypto at their shown value, but only up to what an account has spent on the site, under a daily limit, and every withdrawal is reviewed by staff before it is paid. Players can tip each other in chat, but tips have daily limits, cannot pass between accounts that share a login history, and are refused when the same credit would bounce back and forth. That removes the usual ways a platform like this is used to launder funds.

Knowing who ships

We may ask for proof of identity before shipping or paying out high-value items, before shipping to a new address, or when an account's activity does not match its history. Items are only shipped to the account holder.

Monitoring

We watch for multiple accounts, shared payment methods and unusual buying patterns, and we may pause an account while we look into it.

Reporting

Where the law requires it, we report suspicious activity to the authorities and keep the records the law asks us to keep.
